Friendship and Fellowship | Jesse Boone
"Some religious circles have de-emphasized the value of friendship by differentiating it from true fellowship, which would be seen purely in a religious atmosphere. Real friendship far surpasses the type of "fellowship" religion imposes."
Night of a Thousand Storms | Mat Crawford
A powerful story about a Dad's answer from his Heavenly Father when going through one of the most dreaded trials: his 3 year old son being diagnosed with cancer.
Alone with Daddy | Peter Schrock
"In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path. Do not be wise in your own eyes, fear the Lord and shun evil."
Surrender : The Daily Sacrifice | Jesse Boone
"Our Father has given us everything we need to live a life that pleases Him. Has it been an hour? a few days? weeks? since you determined to lay your all on the alter. He is giving us that choice, even right now - To be the daily sacrifice."
A Friend You Should Know
| Jesse Boone remembering Will Ranger
A beloved man passed away this week. When I heard about it on the phone today, it was one of those few moments in life where you feel your heart beat a little deeper.

The Blessedness of Possessing Nothing| AW Tozer
"The roots of our hearts have grown down into things, and we dare not pull up one rootlet lest we die. Things have become necessary to us, a development never originally intended. God's gifts now take the place of God, and the whole course of nature is upset by the monstrous substitution."

What a Child Needs
| Jesse Boone
I had a nice evening of conversation with a couple that we have recently been getting to know. They are expecting their first child. We sat up for hours talking, and for a portion of that conversation I felt like we were touching on a special realization for fathers. We were discussing our own childhoods. My friend was telling me about how his own relationship with his father has effected his thinking on being a father himself. We both had a similar experience. Our dads were focused on "providing for their family". Neither of us could recall many heart-to-heart talks or emotional bonds. What we could recall was strong work ethic and a dutiful approach to life. We began to consider: Is it possible that nearly a whole generation of dads missed what their children needed them to provide?

Family Breakdown Pt. 1
Complaining

| Jesse Boone"One thing I've noticed as potentially harmful to a family is complaining. The Bible talks about how the children of Israel continually grieved God in the wilderness by refusing to be thankful and constantly complaining. As a parent, you probably notice your children's complaining."

Family Breakdown Pt. 2
Lack of Attention
| Jesse Boone
I know how hard it is to focus and break away from our own thoughts and redirect them toward our children, but it is so important. If we pay attention to them, they will pay attention to us."
Born Crucified
| Jesse Boone
A teaching on the crucified life of the believer.

Together (A Dream)
| Jesse Boone
"Certain people insisted to untie and assured us that it would just be for a quick trip and that we would stay close. This became more popular as others saw no apparent dangers afflicting those who had untied. Some people went to islands, others just floated close to shore, some stayed out and swam often. Ultimately, I found my self alone on a single raft."
